A transit development plan is a 5-year plan which provides a vision for transit in the city. Rochester’s last transit development plan update was in 2017. Since 2017 Rochester Public Transit has implemented the following improvements:

  • Later weekday evening service
  • Expanded Saturday hours
  • New Sunday and holiday service
  • New service areas
  • New BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) service in development
  • Simplified route numbering
  • Improved trip planning service and interactive map
